BRAC Play Lab Project in Uganda | Short Film

With a commitment to create a playful planet for the future generation, BRAC Play Lab project, supported by Lego Foundation, started its operation in Uganda in 2016.

So far, around 3600 children have been reached through 120 Play Labs. As BRAC collaborates with the government, most of the Play Labs are established within government primary schools.

BRAC Play Labs provide an engaging and playful environment for 3-5 year old children. In Play Labs children are engaged in different play activities to support their physical, cognitive, socio-emotional, and language development. Parenting sessions are conducted to educate parents on child development and mother’s wellbeing. Parents and communities are further engaged through material development workshops where they participate to make materials for Play Labs.

BRAC looks forward to scaling up the Play Lab model to reach more children around the world.
